Saint Ann Chess Club is an enrichment activity that has the long range goal to teach your child the rules. etiquette, and notation of tournament chess play. Therefore, regular attendance is a requirement for membership. Chess Club is open to students who have previous experience in playing chess. It will be open to new membership as the year progresses. Chess Club meets each Thursday from 3:15 to 4:15. Parents are requested to send in a note on any Thursday that a student attends school and will NOT attend chess club. Absences, late pick-up for car riders or an inability to demonstrate a serious approach to the activities in Chess Club will jeopardize membership. |
