St. Ann's is blessed to have a magnificent staff with various backgrounds and a wealth of knowledge to share with our students.


Mary Herring
Pre-Kindergarten
AS degree in Medical Office Assistant from Sacred Heart College in Belmont, NC. She has been a Substitute and Instructional Assistant at St. Ann's for 23 years. Mrs Herring is married with two children and five grandchildren. Her husband is the school Custodian. She enjoys movies, walks, reading and cooking!

Kindergarten I
BS degree in Physical Education and Health from Western Carolina University. She has been teaching at St. Ann's for the past 11 years.

Catie Drewry
Kindergarten II

Cheryl Eaglin
Kindergarten Teacher Assistant
BS degree in Health/Physical Education from Fayetteville State University. She has been teaching Physical Education for 30+ years in the Cumberland County Schools. Also spent two years teaching Phys Ed and Special Education in Hawaii. Mrs Eaglin attended St. Ann's school from 1959-1964! She is divorced with one son, and enjoys reading traveling, walking, dancing and exercising.

Christy Cook
1st Grade
BS degree from University of Florida. She is a NC Certified Teacher. Mrs Cook taught 2nd grade at St Ann's (2006-2008) and taught 2nd and 3rd grade at St Joseph's in Killeen, TX for two years. Her husband, Jim Cook, is also a UF almuni, stationed at Ft Bragg. They have two children both attending St. Ann's (4th grade - Alina, PreK - Michael). Mrs Cook is a 3rd generation "Gator" and loves Gator football!

Tina Isenbarger
2nd Grade
Ms. Isenbarger received her BS degree in Special Education from Ohio University and Master's Degree in Special Education from F.S.U.. She taught Junior and Senior High School in Ohio for 7 years and 3 years at a year-round school in Cumberland County. Ms. Isenbarger moved to North Carolina in 1988 to be with her husband, who is on the USAPT-the Golden Knights. They have 2 children (Evan-1st grade and Kennedy-K1). Ms. Isenbarger loves football (Go Buckeyes!), yoga,dancing, and travelling.

Sarah McDaniel
3rd Grade
Ms. McDaniel has a BS degree in Elementary Education from UNC - Pembroke. She started her teaching experience at St. Ann's and is now in her 6th year here. Ms McDaniel is an avid reader and spends her spare time knitting and crocheting.

Lisandra Ackerman
4th Grade
Graduated from UNC Pembroke with a Bachelors degree in Special Education and took the Praxis II in Elementary Education to teach grades K-6. She loves movies, spending time with family, and traveling.

Sharon Loftin-Rivera
5th Grade
She is a proud native of Fayetteville North Carolina. Mrs Loftin-Rivera received her B.S. degree in Psychology and her K-6 licensure from Fayetteville State University. She also earned her Master's degree from F.S.U. She has one son, Roberto, who is a product of St Ann Catholic School and is now a junior at Duke University.
Tom Bolin
6th Grade Homeroom and Middle School Literature Language and Social Studies
He spent spent several years in the US Army and then came back to NC with his wife and has spent the last 21 years as an educator in Hoke County, 15 years in the classroom and 6 years as an Administrator. Mr Bolin has a BA in History and Education from Washington State University and a Masters degree in School Administration from UNC at Pembroke. He loves challenging his students to think outside the box.
John Rock
7th & 8th Grade Homeroom and Middle School Math and Science
Mr. Rock graduated Cum Laude from Fayetteville State University with a BS in Education. Mr. Rock is married and has two adult children (both attended St Ann's School) living in Fayetteville. He retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years. He also taught in the Cumberland and Hoke County School systems, retired from the NC Public School System in July 2010 after 14 years, and is thrilled to now be teaching at St Ann's School.

Cleo A. Saffoe (Penny)
Middle School Social Studies
BA degree in Business Education, BS from Fayetteville State University, Suma Cum Laude. Mrs Saffoe has 17 years of experience teaching in the Cumberland County School district, 7th-12th grade in Social Studies. She enjoys traveling, crosstitching and poetry. She has three children: Carla, Carolyn and Craig.

Mrs Rodriquez has a BA degree in Business Administration (Management) from University of Puerto Rico, Humacao. She is married with two children both attending St. Ann. She likes puzzles and crafts.

John Bunting
Middle School Religion
BA degree from Edison State College in NJ., and a MA degree in Theology from St Joseph College of Maine. He spent seven years teaching at St Joseph School in NJ, and 18 years in Youth Ministry. He is a Pastoral Associate at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and enjoys playing piano. Mr Bunting also serves as the Director for the Testifiers Mass Choir.

Sharona Carter
Music and Band
BS degree in Music Education from UNC - Pembroke. She previously taught in the Hoke Country School System 1987-1991, Breezewood Christian School 1999-2000 and has been at St. Ann's since 1998. Mrs Carter is married with two children, Stone and Emma.

Dawn Leone
Physical Education
Mrs. Leone has a BS degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida. This is her second year as part of the St Ann’s faculty. Mrs. Leone has previous experience teaching P.E. to elementary students in Florida and Texas. She and her husband, Peter, have been married for 19 years and have two sons, Blake and Trent, who enjoy attending St. Ann School.

Maria Elena Perez-Mendiola
Lunchroom Assistant
Mrs. Mendiola has an AS degree in Medical Assisting from Guam Community College, Mangilao, Guam (an umbrella program of Kapiolani Community College, Hawaii). She has North Carolina Early Childhood credentials and works as the lunch and aftercare assistant at St. Ann's. Mrs. Mendiola has been married to her husband, Michael, for 22 years and they have two children: 8-year old Michaleynn (3rd grader at St. Ann's) and 2-year old Mitchell. Mrs. Mendiola enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking and being active with The Pacific Pride cultural dance group.
