Cumberland County Public Library

Our local public library has a plethora of programs planned for children for the summer. We encourage you to take advantage of these where you can. A representative from the public library will visit our school to share what they have to offer this summer with our students on Thursday, May 26th at 2:30 p.m.

A THOUSAND THANK YOUS

…to Dwight Berry and Nick Powning for assembling our newest library bookshelves last weekend. We are so grateful.



ENCORE

Our chorus and band students will give an encore performance of their Spring Concert selections for the student body on Monday, May 23rd at 2:15 p.m.

Summer Office Hours

Beginning June 6, 2011 the office at St. Ann School will be closed on Mondays and Fridays for the summer. The office will be open from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Regular office hours will resume August 2, 2011.

SHOUT OUT

…to Ricky Navarro who ACED the Algebra I End of Course test required by the state of North Carolina. Way to go, Ricky. We’re proud of you.

INSTRUCTIONAL FEES

This week Mrs. Dabbs personally called each family who is delinquent in paying these fees as they were due on May 1st. These fees are used to purchase new textbooks for the upcoming year. Certainly, we cannot wait until the fall to order books for next year. We encourage you to take care of this responsibility to avoid any more reminders.

CONGRATULATIONS and GOD’S BLESSINGS

…to our Pre-K , Kindergarten and 8th Grade graduates on achieving a very important milestone. Thank you, parents, for all your support throughout the year.

LAST DAY of SCHOOL

May 27th marks our final day of school for the year. Our final awards presentation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the church. It will conclude just before the dismissal for the summer at 11:30 a.m. All parents, guardians and other guests are more than welcome.

FIRST COMMUNION

The following 2nd Graders will be making their First Communion on May 21st at the 5 o'clock mass:
Abigail Acosta; Jaden Bradley; Carsen Fessey; Jessica Hobbs; Sarah Lowe; and Mazzy Spencer.

Also coming to God's table for the first time will be 4th grader Megan Lombardi and 6th grader Emily Lombardi.

Congratulations to these students and to MacKenzie Mangan (2nd grade) who made her First Communion earlier in the year.
