Our Principal Ms. Corders is a native of Fayetteville, N.C. where she was educated in both the parochial schools and the Fayetteville City Schools. She received a Batchelor of Arts in English from North Carolina Central University in 1978 and her Masters in Educational Administration in 1984 from Fayetteville State University. Her entire 29 year career was spent in Cumberland County Schools. During that time Ms.Corders was named Cumberland County Teacher of the Year, Cumberland County Assistant Principal of the Year and Cumberland County Principal of the Year on three separate occasions. In 2003 she was named Wachovia Principal of the Year and that was followed by the State MetLife Principal of the Year. In 2003 she was presented with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award, our state’s highest civilian honor. In August of 2007 Ms. Corders retired from the public schools of North Carolina. Presently, she is Principal of St. Ann Catholic School in Fayetteville. The mother of two young adults is a consultant who travels both around the state and beyond North Carolina. |
