Out with the old and in with the new!
There have been many changes throughout the school year. A complete revamping of the SVO (formerly known as the PTO) to include a new constitution and by-laws was put into place. Bringing the library to modern standards and adding playground equipment, piece by piece. None of this would have been accomplished without our super volunteers! Countless hours and dedication by parents have blessed our children at St. Ann.

Various events produced smiles as well as generated funds for our school. The Barnes & Noble book fair was a fabulous venture that procured over $800 in new materials for our library. Scholastic Book Fairs brought in over $4000 in books. Campbell Soup Labels, Capri Sun pouches and skate nights at the Round About brought in additional materials and funds. “Art by Me” brought in $1600. In conjunction with the Knights of Columbus, Family Bingo Night/Fish Fry was a success. Fellowship Potluck with a Free Raffle was an enjoyable evening that benefitted several families in various ways. Birthday Fridays were well received by the students. Dances and Spirit Week allowed the children to express themselves as individuals in a relaxed manner. Together we supported the St Ann Youth Ministry at their spaghetti dinner. So much positive energy spilled unto others. It takes a village to raise a child, we are a Strong Village! WE continue to grow as positive role models for the future of our country!

The Yearbook Changed this year!
Some may miss the hard cover of previous years but, we added 30 pages of color pictures. More events were added, did you know our students participated in a cross country run? There is always room for improvement. Next year we will have a customized book, the cover will be drawn by our students, making it truly unique. The price will stay the same. Thank you to the parents who submitted their pictures for use. CHP’s own Chris Carter was also a valuable instrument during this process. They made this book possible!

More to come…
Auction News! The Silver Screen is our theme for next year. Dinner instead of appetizers, elegant surroundings and many more surprises! Don’t miss out! See Millicent Berrios and lend her a helping hand. This is our major fundraiser!
Father/Daughter Dance “Daddy’s Little Girl” ~August 26th
Mother/Son Pancake Breakfast~ January 28th
More BINGO!

The St Ann SVO has worked countless hours during this year. The fruits of their labor are easily seen throughout the school. Sometimes it seemed as if they lived here. They never asked for anything except your help. Often times we take for granted that they are also volunteers and not employees. Please take the opportunity to say thank you, it is always good to feel appreciated. Be a part of the difference, become a member of the SVO Team!
